jason + jessie

A family wedding is always a big event to look forward to, unless you are the photographer! To be fair, I don’t think I’d like anyone else doing this one though as I wanted to do my bit to ensure it all went smoothly.

Jason is my brother-in-law. He is also the man that dragged me up Carrantouhill (and off the dance floor when I had a few too many…). He is the heart and soul of any get together and in Jessie he has found someone to keep all fires burning. Here are some random shots from the day:

It was fun!

mobile blues…

Apologies to anyone trying to get hold of me while I was away. It was very difficult to get a reliable carrier to receive calls over there but I’m back now…

Away down under

I’m off travelling for two weeks.

I will have access to e-mail so e-mail me or leave me a v-mail and I will get back to you on my return or before then if urgent.

Meet the suppliers #2 - “d video man”…

I’m always asked to recommend somone for video.  It seems to have lost popularity a bit but to be fair, there are some slick operators around these days that turn out decent work. Gone are the days of lighting up your alter like a studio set (well nearly…) and burning a hole in the back of your head with a hunting lamp.

With modern equipment and software, there is a better take on things and for those with the required skill, the editing afterwards can yield great results. Here are three I can recommend (in no particular order):

Maurice O’ Carroll www.velvetineproductions.com

Thady Kavanagh www.filmcompanyofireland.com
